The Network Services unit includes responsibility for the entire network infrastructure and cable plant. The infrastructure as a whole includes all indoor and outdoor cabling (copper and fiber), network switches and routers, wireless and other pieces of equipment deployed throughout campus.
Network Services provides service and support to the entire campus community. This includes all faculty and staff offices, student labs, classrooms and residential halls. Although we provide and maintain all residential network equipment, Network Services does not directly support students who live in our residential halls. All residential support is handled by RES.net, a branch of User Support Services.
An Ethernet connection to the campus backbone network enables high-speed access to virtually all of TCNJ’s internal network and Internet resources such as: electronic mail, on-line news, local and worldwide electronic bulletin boards, library catalogs and databases.
